Having trained with the greatest noses in perfumery and worked for perfume houses such as Christian Dior, Paco Rabanne, Alexander McQueen, and Giorgio Armani, Kilian launched his own brand that reflects not only his expertise but his heritage. Heir to a long line of cognac makers, Kilian has put a personal spin on his family's tradition by creating uncompromisingly luxurious fragrances that are redolent of the sugar in alcohol and the wood of cognac barrels. My personal favorite the 'White Cristal' is a fragrance inspired by Rum, a life-giving alcohol blending the heat of Caribbean islands. The leitmotif here is Rum, a sexy note with Patchouli. The mystery of its aura is deepened by Nutmeg, Cedar and Brazilian Rosewood. This life-giving alcohol definitely leads us into temptation, an invitationto partake of forbidden fruit.

While it’s hard to point out the exact moment when the army influence began affecting street-wear trends, it might just be safer to assume that the ongoing affair between military and fashion spans its long-lasting existence over many decades. Knowing that fashion is inspired by and reflects the general tendencies in the world, the message that comes out is pretty sad. Unfortunately we are all aware of the unrest situation spread all over the world, especially in the middle east and Africa as well as Ukraine. Even though the fashion world is conscious about emphasizing and attracting attention to war in the world, it seems to have lost its purpose as a statement and has been over done and exploited. If you just take a look for a moment at some of the samples that the camo print has been applied, you will understand my point. I only ask you to keep is simple and classy...

The café racer is a light and lightly powered motorcycle that has been modified for speed and handling rather than comfort. The bodywork and control layout of a café racer typically mimicked the style of a contemporary Grand Prix roadracer, featuring an elongated fuel tank, often with dents to allow the rider's knees to grip the tank, low slung racing handlebars, and a single-person, elongated, humped seat.

Laurence Fellows defined a very specific, very masculine world. Unlike today’s fashion magazines, Apparel Arts didn’t dictate fashion trends by using underfed models in unwearable suits. It showed what was already being worn by the well-heeled, trend-setting folk. Fellows’ genius as an illustrator lay in his ability to depict them in their everyday activities. Whether they were traveling the world, hosting dinner parties, hunting grouse, or just lounging around the penthouse or club, Fellows somehow made their rarified universe accessible. Ordinary folks could look at the illustrations and say, “I could wear that.”

Fellows’ technique as a fashion illustrator was more painterly and detailed than his earlier commercial work. The man could draw fabric, plain and simple. His fabric had weight, heft, drape, texture, and sheen. His flannels, worsteds, tweeds, and linens, his barathea and velvet and twill were all fabulous.

Blinged Monopoly

Monopoly is an American-originated board game originally published by Parker Brothers. Subtitled "The Fast-Dealing Property Trading Game", the game is named after the economic concept of monopoly—the domination of a market by a single entity. An 18-karat gold version of the famous Parker Brothers board game will be on display beginning Friday at the Museum of American Finance. The gold and jewel-encrusted Monopoly is estimated to be worth roughly $2 million.The set of dice alone is valued at $10,000, with 42 full-cut diamonds for the number dots. All of the properties that make up the game board are also set in gems, with some 165 gemstones in total. The “Chance” and “Community Chest” cards are photo-etched.

A bobber is a custom motorcycle that usually has had the front fender removed, the rear fender "bobbed" (made smaller), and all superfluous parts removed to reduce weight. Bobbers are related to choppers in that they represent a minimalistic approach where the motorcycle is stripped of parts or accessories not needed but bobbers generally retain the characteristics of the stock frame.

It is a very well balanced look completed with a gold Rolex. The colors, patterns, fabrics and accessories speak in silence rather than scream. However I would have preferred a gold buckle for the double-monks to complete better this look.
