While it’s hard to point out the exact moment when the army influence began affecting street-wear trends, it might just be safer to assume that the ongoing affair between military and fashion spans its long-lasting existence over many decades. Never really gone for good, the military aesthetic is constantly determining the shapes of the current trends, evolving in order to translate to modern but standing its ground. Knowing that fashion is inspired by and reflects the general tendencies in the world, the message that comes out is pretty sad. Unfortunately we are all aware of the unrest situation spread all over the world, especially in the middle east and Africa as well as Ukraine. Even though the fashion world is conscious about emphasizing and attracting attention to war in the world, it seems to have lost its purpose as a statement and has been over done and exploited.
